There is truth in the statement "you can be anything you put your mind to" and it has been proven many times over.

Take a moment and look at the simple inspiration that was given by Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek. From this late 60's show, we move through our lives because people brought some of the 60's fantasy technology and brought it into reality.

The Flip Cell Phone (The Communicator)
The Bluetooth Headset (Lt. Uhura wore one)
The automatic door (every room they walked into, the door 'swooshed' open and closed behind them)
Video Conferencing (the good and bad guys on the big screen)
Translation Software (speaking with other 'beings' without knowing their language)
Holodeck (Virtual Reality)
High Pressure Shots (instead of needles)
The Phaser - (the stun gun)
The Vending Machine - (providing food on demand)

All these things came from a thought, it was made to look real through TV magic and it inspired a worthy ideal, something to progressively realize in the minds of youth watching the show and within 15 years we had the cell phone, when technology got smaller, we had the flip phone shortly after that.

I am not suggesting that you watch a sci-fi show to come up with your worthy ideal, but I am suggesting that you can accomplish anything you can put your mind to and do it with the mindset of "how can this be done" and then figuring out a way.

Your success is just as far away as the amount of thought and effort you put into it.

The Pursuit Of Happiness

Why are we here? What is our purpose? If we are in the process of realizing a worthy ideal, then we are successful because we are in the pursuit of happiness!

What is Happiness?

Happiness is being on your death bed, knowing that you have lead a fulfilled life, you have left a legacy behind that will continue to be fulfilled by your children and grandchildren and you have memories where you experienced life, the way it was intended, with the people you love the most, not the people at your job that you had to spend time with.

If you are nodding your head right now in agreement, then you are the type of person that should truly be on your pursuit of happiness. If you are disagreeing with my words, then you should take some time to discover what your purpose is and begin to pursue it.

You have probably realized now that this is the true secret to wealth.

How Could You Do That?

Recently, I started marketing my fourth business, The Reverse Funnel System and had some feedback from fellow existing business associates, friends and family, asking me...

How Could You Do That?

Their paradigm is one of an employee, they cannot understand how it is that I can "focus" on more than one business at a time and others have the idea that it does not show loyalty to any particular company.

The reality is, you can truly on "focus" on one thing at a time. For example, if you are on the phone while driving, you are either focusing on the phone, or driving. If you are reading a book about 18th century architecture and listening to a CD on how to speak Spanish, you can only focus on one or the other.

The reality is, you can do all of these things, but can only truly do them well if you are doing one at a time.

That being said, you can go from one to the other and still be 100% successful at doing all of them; this is best done if you are not trying to "multi-task," as that does not allow you to complete your thoughts, or stay on task to get things done.

Next, I am going to share something with you now and I do not want you to take this the wrong way. I am not loyal to any one company! There is no marriage here, no contract signed, I am an entrepreneur and as an entrepreneur, my job is to find an need and fill it!

Of course I am loyal to my family, my friends, my business associates and any individual I come in contact with who deserves my loyalty, but I am not loyal to any one company in terms of exclusivity.

That would be foolish.

Why?

I am here to help as many people as possible and to make as much money as I can, as fast as I can and if I tie myself to any single company, I am limiting my ability to earn. to limit my earning ability increases my chance of failure because I would be placing all my eggs in one basket.

More importantly, if I only represent one company, product, or service, then I may as well be an employee, working to make the owners of the company rich, falling to the mercy of the industry I am in, the product line I am selling and a marketplace that is really a moving target.

Being self employed gives me the latitude to get more done in less time; these businesses only take a handful of hours to develop and maintain if you use the systems they operate under, so that leaves me with more time to earn more money, it allows me to focus on more than one thing and do it well.

Also, If I am only focusing my time in one area, then I am only appealing to one audience; I have way too much to offer, to limit the good that I can do for more people by just working within one vertical market or niche.

Here is how I have diversified myself:

Business 1: Liberty League International I run this on about 16 hours per week, not bad!

Business 2: Effective Marketing Training Series, this took a bit of time to setup, but not now; the training videos are done and the membership site is established, it comes down to marketing and maintenance about 4-6 hours per week.

Business 3: Coached To Success; being a Success Coach, following the 90 day program laid out in the Beyond Freedom program that is included has been a brilliant way to get paid over $400 per hour for my time. This is about 2 hours per week.

Business 4: The Reverse Funnel System; this has to be one of the easiest businesses, with this I only market it about 6-8 hours per week, this system is so complete, it provides incredible lead capture pages, has an auto responder system built in, with a broadcast email feature (yes, I market my other three businesses to the leads generated here) and simply, I get paid $1,000 commissions, in 95% of the cases without ever speaking to someone myself first.

All tolled, that is 32 hours per week, to put that into perspective, I used to spend 7.5 hours per week driving to and from my job, now I walk upstairs to my office. I would take about an extra 2 hours per week just getting ready (suit/tie) for work vs jeans and a t-shirt. So, in perspective, considering that I used to work between 50 - 70 hours per week in my job, plus travel time, I am way ahead and I can get more done in less time.

You do the math...

My 4 Businesses = 32 hours per week

My 1 Job Used To Take = 60 - 80 hours per week

How could you do that, they ask? How could I not do that?

That is fine, if they want to give up on their lifestyle dreams that quickly, they do not deserve to have them. Besides, we need people to do the mundane jobs out there and this is why we will never be faced with a problem where "everyone will do it."

We simply cannot and should not control the outcome, if we are controlling the outcome, then we are not allowing people to express their free will, we are forcing, or manipulating the sale. As soon as someone feels that they are being pressured into a decision, or that they are being "sold" they will run away unless they have already decided to buy, even then, they may find someone else to do business with.

Remove from yourself the idea that you have to control the outcome, that you have to be a great "closer" of the deal, and more sales will happen as a result.

When people decide to buy, they will buy, not because they were sold.

Now, in some cases you will sell them, but this is when "buyers remorse" can kick in and the deals get reversed, or the future customer (the person who will buy from you again) is lost forever.

Things We Dream About...

The things we think about, the reason(s) why we are doing what we are doing:

Goals
Visualizations
Meditation
Affirmations

Now, if you are thinking that these four items are critical to our success, you are partly correct.

Goals, Visualizations, Meditation and Affirmations are all incredibly wonderful and powerful things, as long as they are used in a useful way, but THEY DO NOT PRODUCE RESULTS if you are just living in La-La Land!

It is critical that you have Goals, as a man without vision will perish. These are simply things that you have decided to go for, but once they have been specifically written down and a date set, just review them occasionally throughout the day to remind you to do the things you have control over, do not spend all your time dwelling on and dreaming about the future.

Visualizing is a very powerful tool; I would encourage you to direct your visualization towards perfect practice of the things you can control, as studies have shown, that will get you 97% closer to attaining your goals.

For example, imagine yourself, in perfect practice having a conversation with a complete stranger, you are totally present, listening, really hearing what is being said, not just the words, but the truth behind the words. Understanding this persons reasons for wanting to improve their life and realizing that you have a solution to assist them in reaching their goals.

If you had the pain relief that someone desired, would you not give it to them?

Imagine your solution being so willingly accepted and acted upon that you never had to say a single convincing word, you simply allow this person to follow the natural and logical steps to solving their own problems based on your referral to the solution. If they want pain relief, they will take it from you, not because you sold them on it, but because they acted on free will.

That is how you can use visualization to your benefit, on the things you can control.

Meditation will serve you if you really focus on quieting your mind, the idea is to truly think about nothing. Sometimes meditation gets confused with visualization.

When you are simply paying 100% attention to just your breathing (or some other form of focus) then you are getting strong in developing, or flexing your focusing muscles.

As for Affirmations tell yourself that you are good at the things you can control, not that you have a million dollars, as that will lead to a vision that you have a million dollars and when you realize that you don't (when reality kicks in) you will be depressed.

Affirming "every day in every way I am getting better and better at conversations with strangers" will take you further than some dream land affirmations.

The secret ingredient to succeeding at the things I identified, as the things that you can control, is Action!

So go out and take action in the things you can control and be marveled at the results you will have in your business and in your life.

Getting Customers Is Your Job, Keeping Them is The Job Of Customer Service... Long Term, Customer Service Defines Success!

Understand that more money is made in repeat business, from happy customers, then new business ever will.

When you are defining the success of your business, think carefully on how you will service your clients.

If you are providing a service, then be sure to provide service beyond the expectations of your customers; one key is to have knowledgeable customer service reps that can get the answers to your customers questions and can find solutions to their problems.

Let's face it, questions and issues come up; it is in how these are handled and how quickly that will define the long term relationship.

For example, I was doing a marketing campaign for the Reverse Funnel System and the Marketing Company I had hired to expose my marketing website was showing an incredible difference of website views to what the funnel was showing, here is how it looked:

When I contacted the Reverse Funnel System's Customer Support Live Chat Line, they were able to tell me and provide me with a "Campaign Stats Report" to show that there were a total of 2,084 views of our Campaign URL and of them, 554 were unique views.

Starting A Home Business Is Just Stupid! Right? Wrong!

Let's see if there is a better solution than "just try another one..."

If we know that none of these home businesses work, why do we keep looking at them?

It is always the same, find a company with a product that you can believe in, start to tell the world about it, move from the honeymoon stage to the, "I guess this really takes work" stage and then decide that this is not for you and you quit.

This is a vicious cycle that is repeated time and again; yet this Multi-Billion (yes Billion) dollar industry keeps going and going with the promise of easy money.

Let's look at what is wrong and what is right...

The biggest reason most home business entrepreneurs do not succeed is they really want to buy into the idea that they are basically "get rich schemes" although they try really hard to stay away from anything that would ever seem to suggest that.

What ends up happening is the "lottery mentality" kicks in, they believe that they will be the next "instant success.

Not long after people start in business they find out that there truly is a requirement for a consistent work effort and this work effort will be required to be put in until you decide to stop making forward movement within the opportunity.

Now, this should not be a really big problem (having to do some work) but for most people, the even bigger problem is that the skills required to really be successful do not come easy.

Some of the necessary skills are ones like developing the Art Of Promotion; one needs to become quite proficient in promoting their opportunity to both warm and cold markets. For the most part, the quiet "mouse type" of people tend to get buried in this area and unless they land a whale, they are done.

You also need to typically get really good on the phone; mastering the essence of a script and communicating your message enough, but also finding out enough about the prospect, so they have an emotional buy-in for what you are doing is important enough to them, for them to want to do it themselves.

Along the way, the rejection can be really tough and when you do not make any money, the people who are telling you "that will never work" start to haunt you and you begin to believe they are right.

But if rejection does not wipe you out, here is what tends to kill people in the long run, even those that have the six figure months...

Duplication, or lack there of, eventually is the kiss of death, as one can only step hard on the gas and hold their foot to the floor for so long. As soon as you take your foot off the gas pedal, you are done, momentum is lost and your business goes bye-bye!

So what is the answer?

How do you solve these common reasons why businesses fail?

Automate them!

I have been in the Home Business industry for over two and a half years, I have made $25,000 in a single month, I have had $15,000 days, but the lack of momentum due to burnout tends to keep massive and long term success from the door.

The potential is so great, it drives you for longer than most things, but at the end of the day, these mundane things really wear you out.

The Reverse Funnel System is the first and only system that is available to the general public that I have seen to make real sense here; it even takes care of the duplication problem.

Hard Work Is Not Smart Work - 5 Pointers To Get More Done In Less Time

Here is a couple of ways to look at this:

Right now I am taking flying lessons to become a private pilot (I do not like to have my shoes x-rayed) and as I learn about the theory of flight, I learn this point; the faster (harder) I fly the plane, the less efficient it becomes, there is a bell curve to this where the right speed and power will allow me to fly along the most comfortably, with the least amount of stress on me and the plane.

Driving a car is not much different, the harder you push it, the faster you wear it out, the more money it costs you and when you consider the extra "down time" that comes from all this stress, it just makes sense, that driving it with better flow, you would be better off.

So here are some pointers to get more done in less time:

"Know where you are going." Set yourself some fun goals that inspire action, goals that are specific; if you say you want a plane, there is a huge difference between a Cessna 172 and a Bowing 747. If you want a "new car", there is a huge difference between a new Kia and a new Bentley.
"Go with the flow." Allow yourself to move with the moments and make the minor course adjustments required to ensure you are going in the right direction towards your goals.
"Give yourself some time." While it has been a couple of years since I have been in morning traffic, I clearly remember the guy who would "gun it" when the light turned green and "slam on the brakes" at the next intersection. He (and there were lots of 'He's', I was a 'He' at one time") would look at me with frustration, as I would always be moving right past him through the intersection (he just raced to), at full speed shortly after the light turned green because I decided to time the lights; go seemingly a bit slower in the middle, but I never had to stop (lose momentum) and start again along the way. The ride was much more enjoyable and I used less resources to get to my destination. This would allow me to think more about my day and less about "trying to make the light and all the jerks on the road holding me back."
"Enjoy the ride." Relax! Last time I checked, you only get one trip, so make the ride enjoyable for yourself. You can work really hard and get nowhere, or you can work smart, move along at a great pace, see what is coming with enough time to make intelligent course adjustments allowing yourself the opportunity to make more money with less effort.
"Know the impact you have on others." Leadership is an interesting thing; the people doing less towards the thought of "leading" tend to lead, as they are not looking behind to see if people are following them. Instead, they are looking ahead to ensure they are getting to where they want to go. The best way to be a leader, is to set an example of being the best at what it is you want to lead at. When you are great at it, then you are worthy of following. Leaders do not try to lead, leaders take action and do what needs to be done to get the results they have set out to get and by default, they become leaders.

So we talked about planes and cars a bit to get my point across, but hopefully you go the message.

Learn How To Develop A 101 List Of Things To Do Before You Die

You may have heard about doing something like this before, but have you actually sat down and done it yet?

If you have, then congratulations, you are likely having great fun going through the list, checking things off and doing more in your life than most people would get done if they had ten lives.

If you have not, then understand that this article is timely for you, as it is never too late to start your list, unless you are dead, or dying soon, I might then refer you to find an article on the 10 things to do before you die, if you snooze, you lose.

The reality is we all die at some point, nobody knows when, or how, so if you want to look back on your life and see it as a life full of accomplishment and excitement, with no regrets, then it is time to put pen to paper.

Alright, now that I have likely hurt the feelings of some people and excited others, the underlying message here is Take Action Now.

This exercise is easy, take about 4-5 lined sheets of paper, number 1 – 101 down the side and at the top write “I am so happy and grateful now that I have a list before me that I will complete before I die.” and begin writing down whatever comes to mind.

Be sure to give yourself the time and space to get this list done, if you get stuck at 30-40 (as I did), then come back to it, leave it in a conspicuous place, like your fridge or something, with a pen attached, so you will keep filling in the blanks. Start planning completion dates for the most important things on your list.

Be specific, if you intend on traveling the World before you die, then pick the first destination, you want to know the Continent, Country, State/Province, City, Town and even the Street you wish to stay on.

The reason you want to be specific is this will develop an awareness and then every time a travel deal, atlas, globe in a store, presents itself in front of you, it will have you thinking about your goal of traveling to this destination.

This awareness brings images to mind, ideas of what you would do when you get there, it should make you smile. If you find yourself realizing that you have not done anything towards attaining your goal, hello, if you do not start now, you never will get any closer.

If you have too many obstacles in your way (not enough money, never would get time off work, kids are too small, kids are too big, have to save for their college, etc) then it is time for you to get your priorities straight; if you are not happy and truly living your life, then what is the point. Do what you can to make yourself happy, sell your goal to those around you so they will support you towards attaining it.

If the people around you tell you things like… “you are crazy,” “you will never get that done,” “you are only going to set yourself up for being depressed,” then it is time to get some new people around you because the people who will not support you on your dream will only hold you back from attaining it.

I have added a new spin to the idea of the 101 list. Every time I cross something off the list, I add something to it; I always have something to do and I plan on dying with 101 things on my list, but also having completed hundreds of things that I wanted to do over the years.

Life is full of possibilities and potential and until you stake your claim on what you are going to do in your life, you never will get it done. I’ll tell you what, if you look at your list rather than the television and take some action towards checking something off the list, you will be much more likely to get it.

So, now is the time, go grabs some paper and a pen, start writing and planning the rest of your life. Remember, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Sometimes All You Are Missing Is A Good Idea

Keep plugged in my friend, it is hope that will keep you on course. Right now it would seem to me that all you are missing is a good idea. I would encourage you to sit down in a quiet place, then think about some things that make you happy, when you “feel good” then begin to think “if I could do something that would make me feel good and make great money doing, what would it be?” Allow every idea to flow, when one comes into your mind that feels good and seems to stick, no matter what it is, know that it is possible for you to materialize that.

Next, be in a place where you are “grateful in advance” for the things that you are “in the process of attaining”. You see my freind; you get what you focus on and if you focus on what you don’t want, like having lost one job and “failed since” this will continue to happen to you until you begin to focus on what you would truly like to have.

I would encourage you to write down your “Ultimate Day” this would be the best day of your life yet to come, be detailed and know that you can be, do and have anything that you want. Allow yourself to experience in your mind having attained this, live in the moment. If you choose to focus on your ultimate day, each morning and night, then your subconscious mind will go to work to make your ultimate day materialize. Your subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is not, it only goes by the feelings that you keep presenting thinking that you want more of that, good or bad.
